This unit covers a very contentious time in our church's history. The General Conference of 1888 nearly split our church. However, by the grace of God, His power saw our church through. The thoughts on Righteousness by Faith versus Righteousness by Works pitted the older generation of leaders against the younger leaders. Some of the major players of the day, Smith, Butler, Waggoner, Jones and Ellen White are highlighted in this unit.
As you use this unit, put yourself in the place of each of these strong leaders and feel the intense pressure put upon each person involved.
