Shelley's continued passion for service is fueled by frequent trips to Africa and regular service at home. She has a strong interest and extensive experience in distance learning and integration of technology. Shelley and her husband Barry have four grown children and two grandchildren, with whom they spend as much time as possible.
David Cadavero
David Cadavero
David Cadavero has served in the Seventh-day Adventist K-12 system of education for 45 years. His initial employment was at Greater New York Academy for which he served 17 years, the last 10 as principal. He went on to serve as superintendent of schools for 28 years in three conferences - Greater New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. He currently serves part time as special assistant to the superintendent of schools for development and marketing in the GNYC. He believes that serving in the Seventh-day Adventist school system is not just another part of the education profession, but a ministry; not just a job, but a calling.
Carol Campbell
Carol Campbell
Carol Campbell is currently the Director of Elementary Education for the North American Division of SDA. She has been involved in a variety of professional experiences throughout her career as an educator. She has taught students in K-20 settings as well as worked as an Associate Director of Education for the Southwestern Union. Her heart is in the classroom, thus she has a special interest in curriculum, instruction, and assessment issues that will impact our Journey to Excellence. Specific areas of interest include: literacy development across the grade levels, concept-based learning, faith and learning integration, inquiry-based learning, differentiated instruction, and thinking/comprehension strategies. She also enjoys traveling and exploring new places, gardening, and reading.
Chris Juhl
Chris Juhl
Chris Juhl has taught for 25+ years. His teaching experience ranges from teaching 6-8 Language Arts (reading, spelling, and grammar) to teaching high school literature to teaching community college reading and writing. In addition to classroom teaching, Chris has experience in curriculum and assessment writing. He has taught numerous seminars on how to make literature more hands-on and personal and to teach cross-curriculum lessons.
Rebecca F. Kinley Fraker
Rebecca F. Kinley Fraker
Rebecca K. Fraker lives at Union Springs Academy in NY with her husband Steven Fraker. She has three children and one grandchild. Most of her career has been spent with multi-grade education and she has taught every age through 12th grade. She is greatly interested in everything and is always eager to learn new things. This past year she has explored the world of bones and has started a collection of animal skulls, bones, and teeth to examine with her eager, enthusiastic students.
Audra Wells Mark
Audra Wells Mark
Audra Wells Mark is a brain research specialist, educational consultant, trainer, and author. She has a B.S. in Elementary Education, an M.S. in Management and Administration of Educational Programs, an Educational Specialist in Brain Research and Organizational Thinking, and she is completing her doctorate in Organizational Leadership.
Audra has trained teachers across the United States, and in the Caribbean. She has also authored two books. The first book is entitled, The Bible, Anthropology, and the Ancient Caveman, and the second book is entitled, The Bible, Paleontology, and the Antediluvians. Audra loves the Lord, is married, has one son, and resides in the beautiful state of Florida.
Sherina Phillips
Sherina Phillips
Sherina was born and raised on the island of Barbados and has been through the Adventist educational system for nearly all her life. She has a Bachelor in Science Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Andrews University. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Forensic DNA and Serology. Sherina started teaching in 2003 and has taught both High School Mathematics and Biology. After relocating to New York, she has since been at Hebron SDA Bilingual School in Brooklyn, NY, having taught 6th-8th grade science, 3rd grade all subjects and is presently serving as the 5th grade teacher.
Sherina believes that if a student is bored in class, then their learning will be affected and hence she wants to not only impact students in the classroom through textbooks, but also draw on her many years working with Pathfinders to make the classroom more lively and entertaining while still teaching the fundamental core education. Learning about math, science and God should never be boring. School is meant to be fun.
Jeana Styron Eszler
Jeana Styron Eszler
Jeana Styron Eszler has always valued education and enjoyed several years at Union College, graduating from Southern Adventist University, and earning her masters degree in English from Southern New Hampshire University. She has had the privilege to enjoy the many benefits received from a lifetime of Adventist education.
Former registrar at Ooltewah Adventist Kindergarten & School, Jeana is now the registrar and guidance counselor at Dakota Adventist Academy in Bismarck, North Dakota, doing what she loves best: organizing her world and encouraging high school students as they grow into the future leaders of the church.
She enjoys reading, studying literature, and spending time with her husband, friends, and her pets: a feisty guard cat and loveable German Shepherd.
