Although the term “Human Rights” is not found in the Bible, as Christians we are committed to upholding and defending human rights. We believe that human beings are God’s creatures, and as such our caring for humanity is an imperative of our faith.
In this unit, we will examine human rights on a global scale. There is no age, gender, or race that is unaffected by the issues involved. What is a basic human right? What are simply “wants?” Who gets to define these rights?
